Gary Klinkradt
Gary was born in 1968 and is a Chartered
Accountant by profession, practising in East London. He is married to Karen
Klinkradt and has 2 children.
He started painting seriously in 2003
and has had 3 major exhibitions and also numerous representations in other
exhibitions. Gary represented the Eastern Cape at the 2008 Grahamstown Arts
Festival as one of South Africa’s most up and coming artists. His art is
becoming highly sought after and can be found throughout South Africa and parts
of the World. He is the son of Aubrey Klinkradt, who is also an artist and is
the son-in-law of the late well known, East London Artist, Danie Van Niekerk.
Gary is also a Bonsai artist and has an
extensive collection of Bonsai trees and was chairman of the Border Bonsai Club
for many years.
He truly loves to paint thick impasto
paintings, mainly with a pallete knife. His favoured medium is oil paint.
